Polish Days: Olympics

Hey all!

I thought polish days wasn't on until Thursday and I am absolutely kicking myself! I really wanted to have a good mani for this one but it's a complete fail. I spent a fair bit of time on this one  (believe it or not!) so I didn't want to just delete the pictures and not have a post ready for today so here it is.

I went for the obvious and did the "polish Olympics". I wanted to do a super mario one but ye are probably sick of them. I'm not feeling good today at all so anything I tried looked like crap.

I tried to "spice" it up using different shaped bottle  as the Olympians.

I used acrylic for the majority of this manicure. I need to get some thinner acrylic paint. Mine is fairly hard to work with and the brushes are a bit thick ( a bad carpenter always blames his tools I suppose!)

 I did use a bit of nail polish in this though (would be fairly ironic if I didn't). The blue background on the index finger is Barry M blueberry, over that I have Essence Space queen (to make it sparkle) On my middle finger I have Essence Hello Holo over the white background and on the ring finger I have Essence Gold fever over a white background. Gold fever is a lot more opaque in real life! No idea why it looks so patchy there.









So in case you didn't guess what each nail was I wrote it down :) The swimmer has his little short shorts on to protect his modesty ;) can't be having a polish flashing his brush around now can we?
The bower's are red and blue to represent the corners and the gymnast has little arms to help him to his little stunts.

They actually look better in person but my camera was being a bitch and wouldn't take decent pictures (insert carpenter saying here again)

That's all there is to it! I had the worst night ever last night so I am not feeling good today. I wish we had a little switch to stop ourselves over thinking every situation. It's not fun.
